Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Honduras's Edmundo Espiga started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute, Gio Moreno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Algoso Warriors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 11 minutes, Gio Moreno made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Algoso Warriors booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Navarro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Honduras defense, Gio Moreno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. Gio Moreno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lautaro Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Algoso Warriors's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hipólito Neto in the 24th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Ricardo Dantas heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Nestor Guillelmus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Ksawery Dziuma in the 30th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Valentín Carvallo. Gio Moreno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lautaro Navarro having to make a save. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Honduras's attentive Valentín Carvallo managed to snatch the ball when Araoz Miñano made a throw-in in the 37th minute of the game. In the 40th minute Hipólito Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the game, Algoso Warriors's Hipólito Neto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lautaro Navarro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half Algoso Warriors were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gio Moreno made a kick off. Algoso Warriors's Gio Moreno was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 52nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Gio Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Algoso Warriors's supporters rose to their feet, but Gio Moreno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 59 minutes into the match, Algoso Warriors's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Nestor Guillelmus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd play minute Gio Moreno came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Lautaro Navarro. 0-7. Honduras's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Gio Moreno scored to the left of an out of position Lautaro Navarro, making the score, 1-8. Gio Moreno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. Nestor Guillelmus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 74th minute of play. Lautaro Navarro made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Gio Moreno sent off a good shot on target. Honduras's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edmundo Espiga in the 92nd minute. Valentín Carvallo charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valentín Carvallo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 95 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Valentín Carvallo. The Algoso Warriors supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Algoso Warriors would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
