Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Canada's Koby Wright started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Canada's goalkeeper Jax Williamson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 9 minutes into the game, Canada's Carter George nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastian Hellkvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. With an all-out effort, Canada's Sebastian Hellkvist threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Koby Wright, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Canada's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Koby Wright in the 16th minute. Rohan Watson made a great header on Canada's corner, it was just that Inter de Guayaquil FC's Sebastian Hellkvist managed to reach the ball for a save. With an all-out effort, Canada's Sebastian Hellkvist threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Koby Wright, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jax Williamson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Éric Cantona's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Sebastian Hellkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Koby Wright in the 24th minute of play. Humberto Barragan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jax Williamson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Canada's goal looked a bit too open when Éric Cantona came free, but Jax Williamson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastian Hellkvist made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Rohan Watson sent off a good shot on target. If Rohan Watson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Humberto Barragan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jax Williamson having to make a save. Jax Williamson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Éric Cantona in the 47th minute of the match.

In the 64thth minute of the game Rohan Watson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inter de Guayaquil FC's Sebastian Hellkvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Edwards in the 69th minute of play forced Inter de Guayaquil FC's goalkeeper Sebastian Hellkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Canada had played much better football throughout.
