In the 5th minute of the match HollywooDogs got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gualterio Peter ran over to the corner to take the kick. Chester Bennington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chester Bennington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Chester Bennington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agustín Saelices's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chester Bennington read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Chester Bennington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 32nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Zé Pedro Mineiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Chester Bennington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

HollywooDogs made a substitution. Celso Senna replaced Barros Ramirez. The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Pedro Mineiro came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, HollywooDogs's goalkeeper Chester Bennington had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, Filipe Santana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76thth minute of the game Zé Pedro Mineiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tadeu Vargas hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. HollywooDogs's Celso Senna got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Tadeu Vargas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Chester Bennington made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 98th minute. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but HollywooDogs were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
