Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) If Anakoz Amer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Önder Aksakal, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Betinho de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 15th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Birmingham Railers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Betinho de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Betinho de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. When Ecuador's Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Birmingham Railers FC's goalie prevented a goal. Luis Andino made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Birmingham Railers FC's Betinho de Azevedo managed to reach the ball for a save. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olaf Kingisepp in the 39th minute. Juan Sebastián Puig might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Betinho de Azevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juan Sebastián Puig ran back to his position shaking his head. 48 minutes into the game, Felix Montenegro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Birmingham Railers FC the free kick. Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. When Ugo Fantozzi fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Birmingham Railers FC's protests and gave Ugo Fantozzi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Birmingham Railers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ugo Fantozzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luis Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Birmingham Railers FC's Önder Aksakal got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Betinho de Azevedo was a little too slow when Cristian Sancho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 1-1. 71 minutes into the match, Wen Yin Zhen notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Daniel Hidle's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Hidle helped the player get up and apologised. Betinho de Azevedo had in the 77thth minute some difficulties stopping Daniel Zorita's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 83rd minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 86 minutes into the game, Anakoz Amer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 91 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Birmingham Railers FC the free kick. In the 91st match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Saelices to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Birmingham Railers FC's Önder Aksakal tried to score from far away in the 92nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 94 minutes into the game, Önder Aksakal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ecuador's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
