Birmingham Railers FC's Önder Aksakal started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, Birmingham Railers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Hidle to maneuver through the defense. In the 4th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betinho de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 6th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Birmingham Railers FC's goalie and right to Salvador Gisbert. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Birmingham Railers FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Önder Aksakal in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. After 10 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ugo Fantozzi who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Olaf Kingisepp heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Olaf Kingisepp hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wen Yin Zhen in the 13th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Birmingham Railers FC's Wen Yin Zhen. But to his dismay, Wen Yin Zhen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Wen Yin Zhen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Önder Aksakal capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Önder Aksakal really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wen Yin Zhen in the 26th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Birmingham Railers FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wen Yin Zhen got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 35 minutes, Önder Aksakal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Birmingham Railers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Önder Aksakal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Önder Aksakal in the 37th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Birmingham Railers FC's Álvaro de Brito got a free kick in the 44th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Álvaro de Brito hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anakoz Amer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. The Birmingham Railers FC fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Birmingham Railers FC's Önder Aksakal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ulysses Pernambucano made in the 65th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Olaf Kingisepp immediately put the ball in play. In the 71st match minute, Birmingham Railers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulysses Pernambucano to maneuver through the defense. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wen Yin Zhen in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Önder Aksakal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Betinho de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute, Wen Yin Zhen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Birmingham Railers FC's Deivid Ferreira was substituted for Ugo Fantozzi. Önder Aksakal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The throw-in from Álvaro de Brito in the 90th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas. There was no doubt that Birmingham Railers FC were the better team. Birmingham Railers FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
