Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Sebastian Dulka made the kick off and thus started the match. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Dulka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A well-hit corner resulted in Isac Dichiseanu heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by De hijgende Hertjes's Isac Dichiseanu. But to his dismay, Isac Dichiseanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 12 minutes into the game, Axel Tasis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Steen Müür was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, De hijgende Hertjes's José Paulo Passos got a free kick in the 14th minute. De hijgende Hertjes's Steen Müür played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Puig in the 16th minute of play. Efrain Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Steen Müür showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 26th minute of the match De hijgende Hertjes got a corner. Costa Rica's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Benny Škriniar ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 32nd minute, Efrain Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastian Dulka might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastian Dulka ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the De hijgende Hertjes defense, Aaron Alcocer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Steen Müür. The De hijgende Hertjes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Steen Müür should have stopped the shot. 43 minutes into the match, Axel Tasis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Steen Müür. De hijgende Hertjes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Axel Tasis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After the first half Costa Rica were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Axel Tasis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Axel Tasis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Steen Müür tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the game, Efrain Moruga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave De hijgende Hertjes the free kick. The supporters of De hijgende Hertjes booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Dulka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastian Dulka blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Lautaro Puig hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by De hijgende Hertjes's Sebastian Dulka. But to his dismay, Sebastian Dulka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Sebastian Dulka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sebastian Dulka might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastian Dulka ran back to his position shaking his head. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Dulka in the 78th minute of the match. In the 81stth minute of the game Sebastian Dulka who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in De hijgende Hertjes fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 83rd minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Steen Müür, was totally fooled by Costa Rica's Axel Tasis, who 84 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Dulka in the 89th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jim Houwing during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 90 played minutes De hijgende Hertjes got a freekick which was hit by Jim Houwing. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Dulka in the 94th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastian Dulka in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Costa Rica walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
