If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Golden Hills's Santo Sparks quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jose Carita, made in the 18th minute of the game. Jose Carita made in the 19th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Miguel Miralles however managed to control. The supporters of Golden Hills booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Carita didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Ward Doran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcos Cotilla was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Egil Östlund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Ward Doran tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Miralles in the 34th minute of play forced Golden Hills's goalkeeper Egil Östlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 40 played minutes Golden Hills got a freekick which was hit by Geoffrey Vasquez. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ryan Bellamy. After a rather tough play, Golden Hills's Geoffrey Vasquez got a free kick in the 46th minute. Egil Östlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 47th minute of the match. If Isidoro Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Ward Doran kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Isidoro Sarmiento charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isidoro Sarmiento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Isidoro Sarmiento hit a great ball. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ward Doran in the 60th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Ward Doran had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ward Doran was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Ward Doran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 72 played minutes Golden Hills got a freekick which was hit by Roman Farris. In the 75th minute, Orville Hough got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Panama booed when Golden Hills was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orville Hough didn't get a good kick on the ball. Egil Östlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 78th minute of play. Egil Östlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 84 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Abraham Alguacil. 87 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Ward Doran came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ward Doran in the 89th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Ryan Bellamy in the 96th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Panama's Dylan Sarmiento. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Golden Hills fans cheered their team off the field, for while Panama had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
