The Bacardi FC fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when Bacardi FC's Roni Coryn looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Leo Dauwen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Todd Gronow, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abelardo Janpier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoud Van Gestel, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Bacardi FC were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bob Leerbels took the corner. After taking down the ball on Bacardi FC's corner Bob Leerbels fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Abelardo Janpier quite easily take care of the ball. 0-2 became the score in the 20th minute when Bob Leerbels elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Leo Dauwen threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Todd Gronow, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 32nd minute, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Todd Gronow ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leo Dauwen. Leo Dauwen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Ildefonso Foro managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Falko Schlender in the 38 minute of the game. Enzo Cope kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Falko Schlender hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Todd Gronow fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Dauwen having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roni Coryn stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ildefonso Foro in the 51st minute of play forced Bacardi FC's goalkeeper Leo Dauwen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 55 minutes into the game, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Todd Gronow nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leo Dauwen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Bob Leerbels took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Abelardo Janpier. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 68th match minute, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hipolito Nafarroa to maneuver through the defense. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC made a substitution. Gerardo Etxepare replaced Fabio Manuelo. In the 69th minute, Hipolito Nafarroa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the last second Abelardo Janpier throw himself and got hold of the ball when Roni Coryn in the 75thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Leo Dauwen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Todd Gronow in the 80th minute of play. After 84 minutes of play, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Todd Gronow made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leo Dauwen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bacardi FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
