The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Vítor da Costa fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 卡納里尼奧 FC's protests and gave Vítor da Costa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th minute, Vítor da Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Damasceno came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13thth minute of the game Elias Damasceno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, João Vítor Guimarães skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 34 minutes, Sidnei Dionísio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 卡納里尼奧 FC and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th match minute, 卡納里尼奧 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidnei Dionísio to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Vítor Guimarães having to interfere. If Elias Damasceno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Vítor da Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. 卡納里尼奧 FC made a substitution. Severino da Cunha replaced Sidnei Dionísio. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by 卡納里尼奧 FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Jose Correa managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 卡納里尼奧 FC's João Vítor Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 71st minute of play. 卡納里尼奧 FC made a substitution. Armandinho Pombal replaced Régis Vides. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Vítor da Costa hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 79th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for João Vítor Guimarães. 卡納里尼奧 FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Severino da Cunha hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 84 minutes into the match, 卡納里尼奧 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but João Vítor Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eliseu Alagoano took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. After a defensive mix-up in 卡納里尼奧 FC's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Vítor Guimarães came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle went the supporters of 卡納里尼奧 FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Venezuela side.
