Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Su Xiang Lin tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Orlando Casaus sped through Mans's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Erdinç Yalgın. Erdinç Yalgın took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Su Xiang Lin, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Chile's attentive Felix Garrido managed to snatch the ball when Deng Tian Jun made a throw-in in the 24th minute of the game. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute Su Xiang Lin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 minutes, Mariano Lacasa made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Mans's Erdinç Yalgın tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Erdinç Yalgın didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Erdinç Yalgın made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 55th minute of play. Erdinç Yalgın took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mans's Erdinç Yalgın played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 60th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lacasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erdinç Yalgın breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Chile's Felix Garrido got a free kick in the 64th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Su Xiang Lin in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. Mans's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Mariano Lacasa scored to the left of an out of position Erdinç Yalgın, making the score, 1-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Erdinç Yalgın in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Su Xiang Lin in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 80 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erdinç Yalgın narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Francisco Carballar kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. A throw-in in the 86th minute of the game was made by Deng Tian Jun with Léonard Beauchamp as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Cosme in the 87th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Cosme in the 90th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erdinç Yalgın made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orlando Casaus in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd minute Chile were awarded a corner. Mariano Lacasa went to the cornerflag to take it. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Erdinç Yalgın made a huge save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Chile walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
