Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carmelo Sifon started the match with the kick off. Carmelo Sifon might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carmelo Sifon ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Real Madrid de Guatemala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Santamaria didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Illescas to maneuver through the defense. Real Madrid de Guatemala's Sílvio Luiz Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 9th minute of play. Sílvio Luiz Goiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 9th minute of the match. A hard shot 13 in the game by Carmelo Sifon from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carmelo Sifon got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Carmelo Sifon could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Jonathan Ferrant however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Cristian Santamaria took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After taking down the ball on Real Madrid de Guatemala's corner Nicolás Guerrero fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. Sílvio Luiz Goiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes of play, Real Madrid de Guatemala's Cristian Santamaria made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! 58 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Carmelo Sifon came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Luiz Goiano having to interfere. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexander Torres made in the 72nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Rolando Guevara. The crowd rose to their feet as Patricio Costa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sílvio Luiz Goiano. That made the score 2-1 in the 73 minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolás Guerrero, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Angel Botello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Angel Botello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 80th minute, Alexander Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Real Madrid de Guatemala booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Real Madrid de Guatemala's Emiliano Anaya got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 88th minute, Cristian Jimenez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Madrid de Guatemala fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmelo Sifon in the 92nd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Real Madrid de Guatemala's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
