After some careless play in the Chile defense, Adolfo Dorsey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego. The Chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thiago Pliego should have stopped the shot. In the 21stth minute of the game Adolfo Dorsey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chile's Thiago Pliego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Leonardo-Ismael Astrada fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chisholm Rookie's protests and gave Leonardo-Ismael Astrada a yellow card for diving instead. Leonardo-Ismael Astrada hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Mariano Lacasa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danial McDermott having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Chile's Francisco Carballar got a free kick in the 55th minute. Thiago Pliego was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Adolfo Dorsey capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adolfo Dorsey really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Chisholm Rookie's Danial McDermott played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 60th minute of play. After 64 minutes, Billy Buck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chisholm Rookie and the Chile players grew even worse after the yellow card. Billy Buck kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 65th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danial McDermott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chisholm Rookie's goalkeeper Danial McDermott, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 71 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Chisholm Rookie's Danial McDermott. Danial McDermott was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 77 minutes, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chile's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Lacasa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Mariano Lacasa put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Danial McDermott. Adolfo Dorsey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Thiago Pliego made a huge save. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Billy Buck, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Chile had won after a very even match.
