Leopoldo Varela hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Egídio Tinoco sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. Egídio Tinoco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Efrain Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Egídio Tinoco might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Egídio Tinoco ran back to his position shaking his head. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Egídio Tinoco in the 17th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the game, Alan Moruga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Capivariano F.C. the free kick. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. If Egídio Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egídio Tinoco in the 21st minute of play. Lautaro Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After 23 minutes of play, Capivariano F.C.'s Egídio Tinoco made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egídio Tinoco in the 26th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Egídio Tinoco notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 33 minutes into the match, Capivariano F.C.'s Egídio Tinoco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egídio Tinoco in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Costa Rica's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mario Ardoin was slow to take the kick. During this time Capivariano F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Egídio Tinoco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. In the 67th match minute, Capivariano F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mario Ardoin to maneuver through the defense. Capivariano F.C.'s Wágner Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 67th minute of play. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egídio Tinoco, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute, Capivariano F.C.'s Egídio Tinoco dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-9. Capivariano F.C. made a substitution. Bernard Juroszek replaced Ernani Paraíba. After 75 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Lukas Martinsson took a quick shot and it went in 0-10 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lukas Martinsson got free with Benito Sanz in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Lukas Martinsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lukas Martinsson in the 91st minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Lukas Martinsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-12. When the match was over Capivariano F.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Costa Rica throughout the match.
