Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Robustiano Oihenarte started the match with the kick off. Venancio Panpili fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. Sebastian Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A sloppy throw-in by Fernan Soter in the 14th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Esteban Carvallo. After a rather tough play, Villa Maria FC's Venancio Panpili got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 17th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celestino Columbo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18thth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villa Maria FC's Celestino Columbo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Honduras booed when Villa Maria FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Generoso Txema didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastian Villa took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Celestino Columbo. Celestino Columbo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 23 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Robustiano Oihenarte came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Honduras's Sebastian Villa got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, Venancio Panpili had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Venancio Panpili was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Edmundo Espiga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Celestino Columbo made a huge save. In the 35th minute, Sebastian Villa made a precise shot to the right of Celestino Columbo. Villa Maria FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Celestino Columbo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 38th minute of play. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Ivan Navarro hit a great ball. Sebastian Villa struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Celestino Columbo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmundo Espiga to make the kick off. Adolfo Txeru's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adolfo Txeru helped the player get up and apologised. In the 51st match minute, Villa Maria FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Txeru to maneuver through the defense. Edmundo Espiga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 51st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Celestino Columbo. Villa Maria FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Generoso Txema managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villa Maria FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Generoso Txema was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lautaro Navarro was a little too slow when Generoso Txema got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 2-2. When Emanuel Ocampo fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Honduras's protests and gave Emanuel Ocampo a yellow card for diving instead. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Honduras! Lautaro Navarro had in the 62ndth minute some difficulties stopping Desiderio Ederono's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 65th minute, Edmundo Espiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Honduras fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Celestino Columbo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Celestino Columbo saved Villa Maria FC from getting behind. Edmundo Espiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Celestino Columbo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmundo Espiga took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Celestino Columbo. Celestino Columbo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. In the 96th minute, Epifanio Platon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 98th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Celestino Columbo saved Villa Maria FC from getting behind. Honduras walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
