Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximiliano Escribano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedro Eudoxio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 17th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ildefonso Richie in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pedro Eudoxio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Seco's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Nereo Medero charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nereo Medero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nereo Medero kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Pedro Eudoxio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ildefonso Richie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Joaquin Gayoso made a huge save. In the 31st minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Eudoxio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ildefonso Richie in the 34th minute. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Ildefonso Richie sped through Uruguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. In the 38th minute, Ildefonso Richie left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Temperley fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. With a little luck, Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso got control of the ball when Ildefonso Richie tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedro Eudoxio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ildefonso Richie made a kick off. In the 57th match minute, Temperley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nereo Medero to maneuver through the defense. Temperley's Gilberto Illart was substituted for Angga Pambudi. Temperley made a substitution. Gualterio Lopez replaced Iker Llorienzo. Edelmiro Fe hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. With his leg Pedro Eudoxio managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Uruguay's Francisco Seco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 66th minute, Francisco Seco reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pedro Eudoxio. The goal made the score 3-3. When Ildefonso Richie came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Temperley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ildefonso Richie couldn't finish the play. After 89 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Franco. When Maximiliano Escribano fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uruguay's protests and gave Maximiliano Escribano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 91st minute, Maximiliano Escribano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute Ildefonso Richie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Temperley's goalkeeper Pedro Eudoxio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Temperley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nereo Medero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Temperley's Pedro Eudoxio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Cazalla in the 96th minute of play. The Uruguay players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Temperley from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
