Raşit Özdilek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 6th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Zorita to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th minute, Felix Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raşit Özdilek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. F.C Alex Bucuresti's Raşit Özdilek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 12th minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice moves Calistrat Babeș could shoot a difficult shot in the 14th minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigel Caba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raşit Özdilek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Calistrat Babeș in the 21st minute. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Calistrat Babeș sent off a good shot on target. In the 26th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. 27 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Calistrat Babeș. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of play forced F.C Alex Bucuresti's goalkeeper Raşit Özdilek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raşit Özdilek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after F.C Alex Bucuresti's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Agustín Saelices got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Raşit Özdilek quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Raşit Özdilek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 39 minutes into the match, F.C Alex Bucuresti's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Raşit Özdilek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

F.C Alex Bucuresti's Raşit Özdilek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 50th minute of play. After 52 minutes F.C Alex Bucuresti's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Raşit Özdilek in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 55th minute Ştefan Staicu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raşit Özdilek came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 66 played minutes F.C Alex Bucuresti got a freekick which was hit by Claudiu Braru. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Raşit Özdilek in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When F.C Alex Bucuresti's Ştefan Staicu in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iulian Oniga kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 80th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 87th minute, Cristian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ecuador booed when F.C Alex Bucuresti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iulian Oniga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita, 95 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.
