After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Jairo Hotz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind ★Independiente Ψ★'s goalkeeper Maximiliano Iigo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. ★Independiente Ψ★'s Maximiliano Iigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 21st minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, ★Independiente Ψ★'s goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Maximiliano Iigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Adan Aresti fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ★Independiente Ψ★'s protests and gave Adan Aresti a yellow card for diving instead. Adan Aresti kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Abram Sarmiento struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Maximiliano Iigo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. ★Independiente Ψ★'s Maximiliano Iigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santino Seco in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, ★Independiente Ψ★'s goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Maximiliano Iigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel-Omar Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maximiliano Iigo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Colombia's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Lei Feng Ying 42 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Santino Seco took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maximiliano Iigo. Maximiliano Iigo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gabriel-Omar Batista to make the kick off. In the 57th minute, Lei Feng Ying left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ★Independiente Ψ★ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Colombia's Axel Montenegro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Maximiliano Iigo. That made the score 3-2 after 63 minutes of play. In the 66th minute Gabriel-Omar Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Maximiliano Iigo was a little too slow when Abram Secada got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 3-3. If Lei Feng Ying had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abram Secada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Maximiliano Iigo made a huge save. After having played for 90 minutes, Lei Feng Ying managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ★Independiente Ψ★'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Lei Feng Ying was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
