Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Papunhas EC's Valdemar de Moraes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdemar de Moraes in the 6th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 9 played minutes Papunhas EC got a freekick which was hit by Elói Aparecido. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 11th minute of play forced Papunhas EC's goalkeeper Ismael Nazario Serre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Marcos Cotilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christian Baiano's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Christian Baiano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christian Baiano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Baiano in the 21st minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 22 played minutes Papunhas EC got a freekick which was hit by Christian Baiano. In the 22nd minute, Christian Baiano fired away an extremely well hit free kick, but unfortunately the ball went just outside to the right hand side of Marcos Cotilla. In the 23rd match minute, Papunhas EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valério Linhares to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute of the match, Tomas Berganza tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ismael Nazario Serre saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in Papunhas EC's zone, Isidoro Sarmiento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismael Nazario Serre came out of the goal and Isidoro Sarmiento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute, Vítor Sampaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agostinho de Carvalho in the 37th minute of play. After the first half Papunhas EC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 53rdth minute of the game Tomas Berganza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Papunhas EC's Ismael Nazario Serre was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 55th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Nazario Serre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ismael Nazario Serre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute of the match Panama got a corner. Papunhas EC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abraham Alguacil ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Abraham Alguacil almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Papunhas EC's Ismael Nazario Serre did a great save. Ismael Nazario Serre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Berganza to maneuver through the defense. 65 minutes into the game, Valdemar de Moraes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcos Cotilla. Valdemar de Moraes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. 68 minutes into the game, Valdemar de Moraes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Papunhas EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panama the free kick. In the 68th match minute, Papunhas EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdemar de Moraes to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute, Felipe Ros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar de Moraes in the 77th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Telmo Peres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Papunhas EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Telmo Peres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Cotilla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isidoro Sarmiento struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Ismael Nazario Serre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Dylan Sarmiento hit a great ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Papunhas EC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
