Borys Gruchacz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cassius Byrne in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Borys Gruchacz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Didi Cardozo in the 24th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cassius Byrne took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Borys Gruchacz. After 32 minutes, Reynaldo Osmond mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Joinville United - FSCMZ and the USA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Borys Gruchacz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Joinville United - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. 80 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Elberg As came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Joinville United - FSCMZ fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when Joinville United - FSCMZ's Alesandro Coutinho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sam Campbell who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Borys Gruchacz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 93rd minute of the match, Khalid Parry tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Borys Gruchacz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Marco Day stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elberg As's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. The Joinville United - FSCMZ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. USA were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
