Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ruperto Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arsenio Selmo in the 15th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruperto Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Arsenio Selmo made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. INTERNAZIONALE DE MILAN's Claude Lucien played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 20th minute of play. In the 21stth minute of the game Aquilino Efraim who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 26th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claude Lucien read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Tomas Illescas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Claude Lucien. The goal made the score 2-1. The audience was convinced that Aquilino Efraim's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aquilino Efraim in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquilino Efraim, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arsenio Selmo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claude Lucien saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Aquilino Efraim tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. INTERNAZIONALE DE MILAN made a substitution. Amadeo Llorian replaced Ruperto Garcia. Aquilino Efraim took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Claude Lucien didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Claude Lucien stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. 77 minutes into the game, Patricio Costa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave INTERNAZIONALE DE MILAN the free kick. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave INTERNAZIONALE DE MILAN the free kick. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. After having played for 93 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. In the 98th minute Gabriel Lleir managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. INTERNAZIONALE DE MILAN were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
