Cristian Sancho charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Gernando Guerra made a huge save. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. A.F. Pindamonhangaba were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
