Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Hermann Maus made a throw-in in the 41st minute of the game. Anastasio Matei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The FSV Schuette players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Johann Dubski made a kick off. Anastasio Matei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 51st minute of play. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mohamed Wigger in the 54th minute of play. The supporters of FSV Schuette booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Alvarado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sigurd Kaumanns's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sigurd Kaumanns helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Peru booed when FSV Schuette was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position.
