Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 黄战朋 having to interfere. 曲鸿广 hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than 【№1】湖南自由联队 throughout the match.
