But to his dismay, Milagros Fraga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Olof Söderkvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. DξPΘЯΤIVØ 25's Leandro Macario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 31st minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Olof Söderkvist came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gonzalo Benet kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olof Söderkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. When Jony Maidana fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DξPΘЯΤIVØ 25's protests and gave Jony Maidana a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to DξPΘЯΤIVØ 25 getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Jony Maidana hit a great ball. The supporters of DξPΘЯΤIVØ 25 booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position.
