After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Fabinho Proença managed to get in a good position for a shot. Avencas AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabinho Proença was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dorival Quadros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Betinho Cabral kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the game, Vivaldo Dante recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dorival Quadros. Vivaldo Dante showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Tupirama's zone, Vivaldo Dante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dorival Quadros came out of the goal and Vivaldo Dante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcos Cavalcante stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vivaldo Dante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Dorival Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Wilson do Nascimento was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 65 minutes had been played. Wilson do Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Vivaldo Dante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Marcos Cavalcante fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tupirama's protests and gave Marcos Cavalcante a yellow card for diving instead. 77 minutes into the match, Fábio Lucas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dorival Quadros. Tupirama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fábio Lucas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Avencas AD's Vivaldo Dante got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fiori Zonta hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Dorival Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vivaldo Dante in the 86th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Tupirama's goal looked a bit too open when Vivaldo Dante came free, but Dorival Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, Marcos Cavalcante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vivaldo Dante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Dorival Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Avencas AD's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
