After 7 played minutes Avencas AD got a freekick which was hit by Betinho Cabral. Edmundo Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Deivid Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diego Furlan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Deivid Mineiro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Deivid Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Diego Furlan notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Avencas AD's Deivid Mineiro. Deivid Mineiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Deivid Mineiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diego Furlan in the 25th minute. In the 30th minute, Fabinho Proença got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vivaldo Dante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diego Furlan in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Deivid Mineiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Avencas AD's Sílvio Luís Tepedino got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Francisco Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute of the match, João Carlos Rocha tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Deivid Mineiro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vivaldo Dante to strike the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes Avencas AD got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Lucas. In the 57th minute, Betinho Cabral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diego Furlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Diego Furlan came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the RWD Molenbeek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Furlan couldn't finish the play. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Deivid Mineiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The RWD Molenbeek fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when RWD Molenbeek's Diego Furlan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 89 minutes into the match, Diego Furlan notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Avencas AD's Deivid Mineiro. Deivid Mineiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Avencas AD's zone, Diego Furlan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Deivid Mineiro came out of the goal and Diego Furlan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 94 minutes, Valdo Fernandez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RWD Molenbeek and the Avencas AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94th match minute, RWD Molenbeek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdo Fernandez to maneuver through the defense. Fabinho Proença's late challenge caught a RWD Molenbeek's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabinho Proença helped the player get up and apologised.
