The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Paraguay's Jaime Pardo got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 14th minute Hector Covarrubias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barros Oliver saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 17 minutes, Jaime Pardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Pardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Admon Jimenez hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Barros Oliver made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Jaime Pardo sent off a good shot on target. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaiet Ambrosio, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Jaime Pardo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 32nd playminute. 35 minutes into the match, Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's goalkeeper Barros Oliver had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jaime Pardo. 40 minutes into the match, Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Pardo came free, but Barros Oliver reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 42 minutes, Ramond Mascareñas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Berenjenas de Punto Fijo and the Paraguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Ramond Mascareñas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Olo Berlanga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 53 minutes into the match, Paraguay's Jaime Pardo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Barros Oliver narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Paraguay's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jaime Pardo in the 60th minute. Barros Oliver took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Pardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hector Covarrubias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barros Oliver having to interfere. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaiet Ambrosio in the 77th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Jaime Pardo notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's Barros Oliver. Barros Oliver was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Barros Oliver took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Pardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Admon Jimenez got his second yellow card in the match during the 85th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Berenjenas de Punto Fijo getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Admon Jimenez hit a great ball. Jaime Pardo took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Barros Oliver. Barros Oliver dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. If Hector Covarrubias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Paraguay players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
