Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelio Cesaro in the 53rd minute of play. Alex Palleschi hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pan Queso y Leberbush FC's zone, Felix Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Fix came out of the goal and Felix Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cornelio Cesaro hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Rafael Fix didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After a rather tough play, Pan Queso y Leberbush FC's Donato Izel got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 84th minute Dimitris Maropoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 93 minutes, Cristian Sancho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Pan Queso y Leberbush FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Ecuador's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
