Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elano Reis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Panama's Tomas Berganza managed to work through S.C. Reis United's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Tomas Berganza dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisinho Trancoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of S.C. Reis United booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Cambeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henrique Lago hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Abraham Alguacil struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. João Paulo Urbano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. After a defensive mix-up in S.C. Reis United's zone, Tomas Berganza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Paulo Urbano came out of the goal and Tomas Berganza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Berganza in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Paulo Urbano saved S.C. Reis United from getting behind. After 29 minutes, Felipe Ros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Panama and the S.C. Reis United players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Felipe Ros hit a great ball. Isidoro Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 36 minutes S.C. Reis United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Abraham Alguacil who took care of the corner kick. Abraham Alguacil made a great header on Panama's corner, it was just that S.C. Reis United's João Paulo Urbano managed to reach the ball for a save. 38 minutes into the match, S.C. Reis United's goalkeeper João Paulo Urbano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abraham Alguacil. The crowd rose to their feet as Panama's Tomas Berganza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of João Paulo Urbano. That made the score 1-1 after 39 minutes of play. The supporters of Panama booed when S.C. Reis United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Trigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Renato Trevisan's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Renato Trevisan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th minute Abraham Alguacil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Paulo Urbano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, Luisinho Trancoso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.C. Reis United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panama the free kick. A collision led to S.C. Reis United getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Luisinho Trancoso hit a great ball. After having played for 47 minutes, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Berganza made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Berganza in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Paulo Urbano saved S.C. Reis United from getting behind. 52 minutes into the match, S.C. Reis United's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Sarmiento came free, but João Paulo Urbano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Panama were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after S.C. Reis United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abraham Alguacil took the corner. In the 56th match minute, S.C. Reis United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elano Reis to maneuver through the defense. Hermínio Reis hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Tomas Berganza might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Paulo Urbano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Berganza ran back to his position shaking his head. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elano Reis in the 66th minute of play. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Elano Reis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Abraham Alguacil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. João Paulo Urbano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeu Negri in the 76th minute of the match. The supporters of S.C. Reis United booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Barrios didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisinho Trancoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 2-1 became the score in the 83rd minute when Tomas Berganza elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elano Reis during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Panama's Abraham Alguacil got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 88 minutes of play S.C. Reis United's Henrique Lago was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 91 played minutes S.C. Reis United got a freekick which was hit by Hermínio Reis. João Paulo Urbano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 94th minute of play. There was no doubt that Panama were the better team. Panama's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
