After a defensive mix-up in 泾县Red-Star FC's zone, Lautaro Puig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 唐剑振 came out of the goal and Lautaro Puig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 范康烽 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abel Carballo hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when 孔挺超 came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 唐剑振 having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Axel Tasis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. After 51 minutes, 袁朗辉 mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 泾县Red-Star FC and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 52nd minute, 袁朗辉 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute, 范康烽 reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benito Sanz. The supporters of 泾县Red-Star FC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Noboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute, Lautaro Puig made a precise shot to the right of 唐剑振. 泾县Red-Star FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. When Alexander Carballo fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The ball ended up just outside the left post, and 泾县Red-Star FC's manager could be seen angrily pacing the sidelines. The crowd rose to their feet as 泾县Red-Star FC's 巩兴崇 slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benito Sanz. That made the score 1-6 after 89 minutes of play. In the 96th minute 巩兴崇 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over 泾县Red-Star FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Costa Rica throughout the match.
