Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonardo Peru to make the kick off. If Abraham Alguacil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 53 minutes into the game, Leonardo Peru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ALAMBRE de PÚAS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panama the free kick. In the 54th minute of the match Abraham Alguacil shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fausto Bide showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee ignored ALAMBRE de PÚAS's protests and gave Silvestre Giro a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in ALAMBRE de PÚAS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 60th minute. Penalty! Fausto Bide went to the wrong direction when Abraham Alguacil was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Tomas Berganza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. ALAMBRE de PÚAS's Fausto Bide played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 70th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, ALAMBRE de PÚAS's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Fausto Bide reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abraham Alguacil made a great header on Panama's corner, it was just that ALAMBRE de PÚAS's Fausto Bide managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Panama's Dylan Sarmiento got a free kick in the 81st minute. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Baltasar Felipillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot.
