In the 4th minute, Ward Doran left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Golden Hills fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Hector Covarrubias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Egil Östlund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Ward Doran ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacobo Nores was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 21 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Ryan Bellamy came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Golden Hills's Egil Östlund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Golden Hills from getting a goal against them. Golden Hills's Geoffrey Vasquez got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Geoffrey Vasquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute Ward Doran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Pardo to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Prats to maneuver through the defense. Geoffrey Vasquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Primitivo Escribano kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivan Prats during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 55th minute Golden Hills were awarded a corner. Santo Sparks went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Golden Hills's corner Santo Sparks fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jacobo Nores quite easily take care of the ball. In the 60th minute, Paraguay's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ward Doran fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ward Doran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ward Doran in the 70th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Golden Hills's Bryan Clifford got a free kick in the 71st minute. Orville Hough's late challenge caught a Paraguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orville Hough helped the player get up and apologised. In the 74th match minute, Golden Hills was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orville Hough to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute, Ward Doran ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacobo Nores was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Ivan Prats hit a great ball. Ward Doran might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacobo Nores. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ward Doran ran back to his position shaking his head. 89 minutes into the match, Ward Doran had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ward Doran was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. In the 92nd minute, Geoffrey Vasquez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jacobo Nores didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ward Doran went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. The Paraguay fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Golden Hills were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
