In the 15th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javier Abin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ...Pingue S.C....'s Javier Abin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 17th minute of play. Javier Abin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Guillermo Fontirroig could shoot a difficult shot in the 43rd minute, which Javier Abin however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of ...Pingue S.C.... booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Pozo didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Reinaldo Freitas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Sébastien Gavilanes kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. ...Pingue S.C....'s Sebastean Gavilanes was substituted for Alessandro Gavilanes. Sebastean Gavilanes's late challenge caught a Chile's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastean Gavilanes helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, ...Pingue S.C....'s Sebastean Gavilanes got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 95th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Garrido to maneuver through the defense. 98 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reinaldo Freitas. The Chile manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing ...Pingue S.C.... to win.
