Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Filiberto Bermudo kicked off to start the match. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elias Rojelio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Caprichosos FC's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elias Rojelio came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. In the 9th minute of the match Caprichosos FC got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Yüce Vecdi ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Doug Stanley managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The audience was convinced that Filiberto Bermudo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. In the 17th minute of the match Ladislao Cordarrel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiberto Bermudo in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 24 minutes of play, Caprichosos FC's Doug Stanley made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Filiberto Bermudo took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Alex Chicote charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Chicote the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Caprichosos FC's Yüce Vecdi suffered a sore thigh after 34 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Jonathan Venegas's late challenge caught a Caprichosos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Venegas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 35th minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute Filiberto Bermudo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Doug Stanley came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiberto Bermudo in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Caprichosos FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 50th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filiberto Bermudo in the 58th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doug Stanley hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 70th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Filiberto Bermudo came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Doug Stanley's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jonathan Ferrant firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Caprichosos FC's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Caprichosos FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball.
