Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that KS Bozywerek's Felipo Carulla managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 45th minute of play forced KS Bozywerek's goalkeeper Felipo Carulla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adrian Augustyn made a kick off. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Radowit Grabski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipo Carulla having to interfere. In the 77th minute Julian Kociniewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Felipo Carulla quite easily take care of the ball.
