Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carl-Chester Vallgren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kevin Mastache's late challenge caught a VBL Stockholm's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olov Johnsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Manzanares having to make a save. After 93 played minutes VBL Stockholm got a freekick which was hit by Algot Markusson. The crowd rose to their feet as Colombia's Ignacio Mastache slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Carl-Chester Vallgren. That made the score 3-1 after 95 minutes of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Colombia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for VBL Stockholm.
