Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orkun Okan, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Jiří Hasman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 35th minute of the match. In the 39th minute Milagros Fraga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jiří Hasman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 40th minute of play forced FC Blue Twister Liberec's goalkeeper Jiří Hasman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jiří Hasman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Milan Vrbík, made in the 46th minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ali Emir Devan to make the kick off. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Emir Devan in the 51st minute of play. Milan Vrbík made in the 65th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. After a defensive mix-up in FC Blue Twister Liberec's zone, Eliseo Mina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jiří Hasman came out of the goal and Eliseo Mina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Emir Devan in the 70th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the game, Mark Vennerlund cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 84th minute Ali Emir Devan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Orkun Okan in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Froilan Ciano, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Milan Vrbík in the 94th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. The Peru supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Peru would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
