Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joel Gaona started the match with the kick off. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. Juan Carlos Alvarez came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 15th minute Aybek Orcun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dionisio Panpili, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Linus Fredriksson in the 22nd minute of play. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Marlin FC's Linus Fredriksson was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 31st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aybek Orcun in the 34th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After 42 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Zorita. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Linus Fredriksson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marlin FC's Juan Carlos Alvarez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 55th minute of play. When the match had been going on for 59 minutes, Mexico's Joel Gaona got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Juan Carlos Alvarez. Marlin FC made a substitution. Ismael Iglesias replaced Reynaldo Duarte. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yin Yang, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 69th minute, Luca Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Carlos Alvarez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 71st minute. After 76 played minutes Marlin FC got a freekick which was hit by Yin Yang. 80 minutes into the match, Dionisio Panpili notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dionisio Panpili in the 84th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Marlin FC's goalkeeper Juan Carlos Alvarez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. In the 89th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Marlin FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Juan Carlos Alvarez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Carlos Alvarez having to interfere. Fernando Ciano kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Mexico players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
