After a defensive mix-up in NovaStella FK's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viktor Häll came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 7 minutes into the match, NovaStella FK's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Viktor Häll reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. NovaStella FK's Viktor Häll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 15th minute of play. After 16 minutes NovaStella FK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Luca Rouco heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 18th minute, Lautaro Mancebo made a precise shot to the right of Viktor Häll. NovaStella FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after NovaStella FK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. In the 27th minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Viktor Häll took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Sivert Borre came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd match minute, NovaStella FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristoffer Ek to maneuver through the defense. Inocencio Lorien's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristoffer Ek in the 36th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Viktor Häll was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristoffer Ek in the 40th minute of the match. After 42 minutes of play, Mexico's Luca Zorita made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Viktor Häll was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, NovaStella FK's Inocencio Lorien sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Viktor Häll in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Viktor Häll successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Kristoffer Ek blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dante Lacasa having to make a save. In the 63rd match minute, NovaStella FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronny Odén to maneuver through the defense. Joel Gaona missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 65 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Viktor Häll right hand side. Inocencio Lorien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute, Mexico's Joel Gaona ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Viktor Häll. Viktor Häll yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viktor Häll breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Through an outstanding action, after 73 minutes, Viktor Häll successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The NovaStella FK fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when NovaStella FK's Inocencio Lorien looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 79th minute of play forced NovaStella FK's goalkeeper Viktor Häll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Viktor Häll made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Alberto Tafalla kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Viktor Häll. That made the score 1-5 in the 81 minute of play. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Viktor Häll. That made the score 1-6 after 85 minutes of play. After 88 played minutes NovaStella FK got a freekick which was hit by Sivert Borre. In the 94th minute, Luca Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mexico played a much better game than NovaStella FK and deserved their victory. The NovaStella FK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
