A throw-in in the 33rd minute of the game was made by Cintya Viteri with Estrada Azcona as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After some careless play in the Honduras defense, Estrada Azcona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Umbruso Rial in the 39th minute of play. CD Suscal's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lázaro Loco in the 40th minute. After taking down the ball on CD Suscal's corner Lázaro Loco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lautaro Navarro quite easily take care of the ball. Honduras's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Estrada Azcona scored to the left of an out of position Lautaro Navarro, making the score, 5-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Estrada Azcona to strike the kick off in the second half. CD Suscal's Terho Pasoja got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 庄冰悦 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 67th minute of play. In the 67th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 庄冰悦 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga managed to work through CD Suscal's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Edmundo Espiga dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Emanuel Ocampo kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Lázaro Loco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by Honduras's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lázaro Loco was slow to take the kick.
