Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Axel Tasis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of CD Suscal booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Estrada Azcona's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Estrada Azcona in the 7th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute, Terho Pasoja made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Estrada Azcona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the game, CD Suscal's Estrada Azcona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 20 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Estrada Azcona came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute Terho Pasoja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Estrada Azcona, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute of the match CD Suscal got a corner. Costa Rica's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lázaro Loco ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lázaro Loco made a great header on CD Suscal's corner, it was just that Costa Rica's Benito Sanz managed to reach the ball for a save. Benito Sanz didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when CD Suscal's Estrada Azcona shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-4 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 30th minute, Umbruso Rial ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Estrada Azcona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 37 minutes into the game, CD Suscal's Terho Pasoja nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Estrada Azcona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. If Estrada Azcona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Lázaro Loco struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Suscal. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by CD Suscal's Estrada Azcona. But to his dismay, Estrada Azcona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Terho Pasoja sent off a good shot on target. The CD Suscal fans' excitement grew in the 69th match minute when CD Suscal's Estrada Azcona looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-10 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 74 minutes into the match, Estrada Azcona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Estrada Azcona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-11. Estrada Azcona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to CD Suscal getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Terho Pasoja hit a great ball. If Estrada Azcona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 88 minutes, Terho Pasoja made it 0-12 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Eliseo Noboa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Costa Rica fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. CD Suscal were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
