The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Montenegro got free with Jerônimo da Cunha in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Axel Montenegro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jerônimo da Cunha was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. 36 minutes into the game, Atacan Rahim cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. In the 41st minute of the match, Santino Seco tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jerônimo da Cunha saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jerônimo da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santino Seco in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Elite™- FC Galácticos's goal looked a bit too open when Santino Seco came free, but Jerônimo da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Elite™- FC Galácticos's zone, Abram Sarmiento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerônimo da Cunha came out of the goal and Abram Sarmiento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Atacan Rahim to make the kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Atacan Rahim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elite™- FC Galácticos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Atacan Rahim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elite™- FC Galácticos's Jerônimo da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santino Seco in the 63rd minute of play. Jerônimo da Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Colombia were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Elite™- FC Galácticos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Axel Montenegro took the corner. The corner ended in Axel Montenegro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Elite™- FC Galácticos's Jerônimo da Cunha did a great save. In the 69th match minute, Elite™- FC Galácticos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inácio Cosme to maneuver through the defense. Elite™- FC Galácticos made a substitution. Fabian Zabrzeski replaced Nikos Kladogennis. In the 70th minute, Inácio Cosme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute Abram Secada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerônimo da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Elite™- FC Galácticos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Elite™- FC Galácticos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
