Prospero Perfecto made a great header on Joinville United - FSCMZ's corner, it was just that Colombia's Pedro Manzanares managed to reach the ball for a save. If Luis Cazalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mané Lara to make the kick off. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurício Donatello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute Ignacio Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borys Gruchacz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
