Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Batuhin, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 24th minute of play forced Cuatrodeocho's goalkeeper Fulgencio Villalcazar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Batuhin in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Peru's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sid Wilson was slow to take the kick. During this time Cuatrodeocho's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Cuatrodeocho's Felipe Dimas to fire away a dangerous shot which Rolando Noboa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Peru booed when Cuatrodeocho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horea Băieșu didn't get a good kick on the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Felipe Dimas in the 64th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Alonso Berganza. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sid Wilson in the 64 minute of the game. Cuatrodeocho's José Planes was substituted for Sid Wilson. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cuatrodeocho's goalkeeper Fulgencio Villalcazar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Iván Villafane took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. David Batuhin scored 3-0 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Noboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 89th match minute, Cuatrodeocho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Dimas to maneuver through the defense. 90 minutes into the match, Cuatrodeocho's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Gallo came free, but Fulgencio Villalcazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute of the match, Rafael Gallo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fulgencio Villalcazar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Alonso Berganza kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
