Facundo Cadaval hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kristoffer Ek went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Lluciano in the 15th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Roman Lluciano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Roman Lluciano really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Viktor Häll didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lautaro Mancebo went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Roman Lluciano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. A hard shot 28 in the game by Inocencio Lorien from a close distance when the talented Dante Lacasa managed to make a qualified save. Mexico's players were relieved. In the 30th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viktor Häll saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viktor Häll made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 35th minute of play. NovaStella FK's Viktor Häll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 41st minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo scored 3-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Viktor Häll, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 45 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roman Lluciano. Inocencio Lorien struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NovaStella FK. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcu Pantelimon in the 54th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman Lluciano in the 58th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Lluciano, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristoffer Ek, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Inocencio Lorien was slow to take the kick. During this time NovaStella FK's players had a chance to rest. Roman Lluciano was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great ball. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roman Lluciano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 75 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Viktor Häll, 4-3. 79 minutes into the match, Inocencio Lorien had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Inocencio Lorien was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-3. The supporters of NovaStella FK booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Luque didn't get a good kick on the ball. Inocencio Lorien took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dante Lacasa. Mexico's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 89th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Luque to maneuver through the defense. NovaStella FK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
