Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gumaro Jaraba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. UTC FC's Gumaro Jaraba got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Inigo Alfaro in the 16th minute. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer got a free kick in the 17th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Inigo Alfaro got free with Benito Sanz in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Macias Poblaciones received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gumaro Jaraba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Inigo Alfaro sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Inigo Alfaro put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. 34 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Levi Ackerman. In the 44th minute, Inigo Alfaro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benito Sanz. The goal made the score 5-0. In the 47thth minute of the game Inigo Alfaro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Inigo Alfaro made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Inigo Alfaro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 54th minute Inigo Alfaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 55 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. The supporters of UTC FC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 60 minutes, Inigo Alfaro made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Macias Poblaciones, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. The corner led UTC FC's Elvio Vásquez to fire away a dangerous shot which Benito Sanz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inigo Alfaro in the 65th minute of play. Jānis Pavelskops made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Tasis in the 66th minute. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inigo Alfaro in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute Gumaro Jaraba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Inigo Alfaro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Inigo Alfaro in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 9-0 when Inigo Alfaro sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inigo Alfaro in the 82nd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Levi Ackerman scored 10-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Levi Ackerman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. UTC FC fully deserved thier win.
