Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Otsando Llantaron kicked off to start the match. If Ricardo Senio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Celedonio Paio sent off a good shot on target. Lautaro Puig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Theobald having to interfere. After having played for 26 minutes, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Puig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eliseo Noboa took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Humberto Theobald. Humberto Theobald dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 38 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Alcocer. Celedonio Paio struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EAU FC. When Celedonio Paio came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the EAU FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celedonio Paio couldn't finish the play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Tasis was the one to do the kick off. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otsando Llantaron, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 56 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Otsando Llantaron came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Celedonio Paio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eliseo Noboa got free with Humberto Theobald in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 74th minute there was a penalty for EAU FC. Ricardo Senio stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Benito Sanz. 2-1. Celedonio Paio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the game, Bonifacio Jaume was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. EAU FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Abel Carballo hit a great ball. Ricardo Senio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 92nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. EAU FC had played much better football throughout.
