If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 18th minute of play forced Qatar Dust Kickers's goalkeeper Jussef Zemmamouche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Qatar Dust Kickers's Jussef Zemmamouche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 23rd minute of play. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Soltani Drid scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 2-1.

Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Soltani Drid's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fergani Dahleb in the 81st minute of play. Qatar Dust Kickers's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Abdellah Kader in the 82nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Soltani Drid in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Soltani Drid blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. After 95 minutes, Soltani Drid made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Qatar Dust Kickers had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
