Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Axel Tasis kicked off to start the match. The supporters of EAU FC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Tasis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Celedonio Paio managed to get in a good position for a shot. EAU FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Celedonio Paio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Celedonio Paio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celedonio Paio in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 11 minutes of play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Humberto Theobald was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Eliseo Noboa came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Noboa couldn't finish the play. Otsando Llantaron recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Otsando Llantaron went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otsando Llantaron in the 23rd minute of the match. Otsando Llantaron blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. When EAU FC's Otsando Llantaron in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Otsando Llantaron was extremely unlucky when he, in the 57th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Humberto Theobald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Humberto Theobald showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. If Otsando Llantaron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 68 minutes, Alan Moruga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the EAU FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 68th minute. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celedonio Paio in the 77th minute. Efrain Moruga hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Juan Rubio hit a great ball. Celedonio Paio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Bonifacio Jaume hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. After 91 minutes of play, EAU FC's Otsando Llantaron made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! EAU FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
