Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otsando Llantaron in the 10th minute of play. Jaime Pardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Humberto Theobald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute EAU FC were awarded a corner. Ricardo Senio went to the cornerflag to take it. After a defensive mix-up in EAU FC's zone, Jaime Pardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Theobald came out of the goal and Jaime Pardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th minute of the match Jaime Pardo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Humberto Theobald skillfully saved the ball. The EAU FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Paraguay were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Otsando Llantaron stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A hard shot 52 in the game by Jaime Pardo from a close distance when the talented Humberto Theobald managed to make a qualified save. EAU FC's players were relieved. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otsando Llantaron, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. EAU FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ricardo Senio in the 75th minute.
